Jumpstarting a weak car battery

Currently, you start entering the stage of doing a weak jump-start battery. Of course, you need to open the hood first on each vehicle. Meanwhile, don’t forget to use the best jump starter as well.

Observe two positive (+) and negative (-) battery terminals at each battery.

Furthermore, both positive ends of the jumper cable you need to connect to the positive terminal of each battery. In general, the positive jumper cable is red if it is not indicated otherwise. Connecting jumper cables also need to be done in sequence. First, you must connect one end of the positive jumper cable first to the weak battery, then connect the other end of the positive jumper cable to the battery that has been packed or still functioning properly.

Next negative jumper cable needs to be connected. Usually, this one cable has black color. Connect one end of the negative jumper cable to the negative battery terminal that is still working properly.

The other end of the negative jumper cable you need to connect to the metal components that are in the car with a weak battery. Make sure it’s in a clean condition.

You need to turn on the car engine with a battery that is still functioning properly or has been decades. The system begins to work or will start charging the weak battery through the jumper cable when you start the engine.

Turn on the car engine with a battery that is still functioning properly and let more or less five minutes pass. Weak batteries will self-discharge, although the addition of battery power actually takes longer.

After you do the above process, you need to turn on the car engine that its weak battery. The machine will be easily turned on if the battery jumper cable that is being divas has a fairly optimal power.

If the machine has been successfully lit, disconnect the jumper cables from each car in reverse order from the connecting process to avoid explosions or sparks. You can start from disconnecting the ground wires first, then the cables connected to the negative terminal of the battery, as well as the cables that are also connected to the positive terminal of the battery to jump-start.

Then you can start the car and let the engine runs for about 20 minutes.
